Bob Marley Dance Studio

Guests will be dancing the night away to Reggae,Soca,Salsa,Hip Hop and other sounds in the famous Bob Marley Dance Studio adorned with numerous beautiful framed images of the late King of Reggae.

Donovan Marks and Rain Forest Band

Marks studied guitar at the Jamaica School of Music. He also studied jazz bass with Keter Betts and Steve Novocel, and studied classical bass with George Vance at Washington, DC’s Levine School of Music.

Marks toured with the U.S. Air Force Showcase 1982-84, minored in Music at Washington’s Howard University. During the late 1980s, he performed with DC-area Reggae bands. Additional accomplishments include performing as opening act for Third World, Burning Spear, India Arie, Super Cat, David Rudder, Andy Narrell, Robert Greenidge, Boogsie Sharp, and Corey Harris. He also performed at jazz festivals in St. Croix and Atlanta. Donovan is an old boy of Calabar High School.

DJ Jason Steele

DJ Jason Steele is one of Washington’s top-rated entertainers. He backs most of the major visiting Jamaican artists and has played regularly at the world-famous Howard Theater.
